About this artwork Another piece from my patent drawing series. I found an American Beauty iron that's depicted in this patent drawing at a local thrift store and thought it was beautiful with its red Lucite handle. But when I got it home and plugged it in, the thermostat was broken. Yikes! I cut the cord off, and ever since it's been an icon in my studio. I found the patent drawing before I cut the cord off, wondering if I could take it apart and repair the thermostat. You never know where your curiosity will lead you. 18.5" h x 16" w.
