Shawl Collar Aran Wool Coat with Buttons

Some pieces just feel like a warm embrace, and our Shawl Collar Aran Knit Coat is one of them. Rooted in Irish culture, this stunning coat is crafted using traditional Aran stitches, just like the fisherman sweaters worn for generations along Ireland's rugged coast. The honeycomb stitch symbolizes the sweet rewards of hard work, while the moss stitch, inspired by the lush, moss-covered cliffs of the Irish shoreline, represents abundance and growth. Beyond its rich symbolism, these stitches serve a practical purpose - enhancing both breathability and insulation. Originally designed to help fishermen withstand the harsh Atlantic cold, they make this coat not only stylish but exceptionally warm. Made from 100% Merino wool, it's soft, moisture-wicking, and built to keep you warm in colder seasons. Ethically sourced and organic, this wool is treated with SAOL's anti-shrink technology, meaning you can safely toss it in the washing machine without fear of losing its shape or texture. This elegant coat falls just above the knees and features a cozy shawl collar, ribbed cuffs, and hem to lock in warmth. Two front patch pockets add practicality, while four beautifully detailed buttons featuring the Trinity Knot highlight the craftsmanship and attention to detail. Wear it layered over a sweater or dress for a sophisticated yet effortless look - perfect for transitional seasons. Crafted by skilled artisans in Ireland, this coat is where tradition meets timeless style.
