iPhone 18 Pro Max 360 Ring Kickstand Case

Why the iPhone 18 Pro Max 360 Ring Kickstand Case is essential for outdoor adventurers, drivers, and hands-free media users If you want one phone case that handles drops, doubles as a kickstand, AND grips magnetic car mounts — the Gorilla iPhone 18 Pro Max 360 Ring Kickstand Dual-Layer Shockproof Case is the most versatile multifunctional case you can buy. This rugged ring case for iPhone 18 Pro Max packs a 360-degree adjustable double-layer ring that doubles as a vertical and horizontal kickstand, a finger grip, AND a magnetic car mount attachment point — all built into a dual-layer construction of hard polycarbonate (PC) inner shell and soft silicone outer skin, reinforced at all 4 corners to military-grade drop standards. Raised 2mm screen bezels and raised 3mm camera bezels deliver 360-degree edge-to-edge protection for the expected 6.9-inch display and rear camera array. Built for outdoor adventurers, hikers, runners, mountain bikers, campers, daily drivers, parents, content creators, and anyone in the Gorilla Family who refuses to choose between drop protection and hands-free functionality. Polycarbonate (PC) is the rigid impact-resistant clear plastic that forms the inner hard shell of the case. Think of it like the lightweight high-strength material used in bike helmets, riot shields, aircraft cockpit windows, and the front panel of a flagship smartphone — strong enough to crack a wood baseball bat before the plastic itself breaks. The PC inner shell on this case is precision-molded to roughly 1.5mm thick around the frame and reinforced thicker at the 4 corners where over 70% of drops actually land. The PC layer is what gives the case its structural rigidity — it's the layer that distributes the impact across the entire shell when the phone hits concrete, tile, or trail rock instead of letting the force concentrate on a single point. Soft silicone outer skin is the flexible rubbery outer layer that wraps over the PC inner shell. Think of it like the silicone used in high-end kitchen utensils, premium watch straps, or the grip on a professional camera body — it's soft, slightly tacky in hand for grip, and absorbs impact energy like a tiny shock absorber. The silicone outer skin on this case is roughly 1.5mm thick, feels grippy without being sticky, and provides the second layer of impact protection on top of the rigid PC inner shell. Together, the hard PC and soft silicone create the same dual-layer protection principle used in military-grade rugged cases — rigid plastic distributes the impact, then flexible silicone absorbs the residual force before it ever reaches your phone's frame. 360-degree adjustable double-layer ring is the rotating metal-and-polymer ring built into the back of the case — and this is the feature that makes the case actually multifunctional. Think of it like the rotating bezel on a dive watch combined with the kickstand on the back of a Microsoft Surface tablet — a precision-machined ring that rotates a full 360 degrees and folds out to act as a kickstand at any angle you want. The ring has two functional roles: First, fold it out at 90 degrees for hands-free portrait or landscape viewing on a desk, table, dashboard, or campsite. Second, slide your finger through the closed ring for a secure one-handed grip while texting, scrolling, or shooting one-handed photos. Third bonus role: the steel core of the ring sticks magnetically to any standard magnetic car mount, so you don't need a separate ring or sticker for car navigation. Fold the ring flat against the back when you don't need it and the case stays pocket-friendly. The full ring kickstand case weighs about 2.3 ounces (65g) and adds roughly 3.5mm of total thickness to your iPhone 18 Pro Max — slim enough to fit in pockets and bags, multifunctional enough to replace 3 separate accessories (case + ring stand + car mount adapter) with one product. Open and close it 10 to 15 times to break in the rotating mechanism — it will move smoothly and stay at any angle after the first day of use Kickstand wobbling on uneven surfaces? The 360-degree ring allows micro-angle adjustments — slightly rotate the ring to find the sweet spot that levels the phone on rough tabletops or dashboards Ring catching on pocket fabric? Fold the ring flat against the case back before pocketing — when fully folded, it adds minimal snag risk Silicone outer skin picking up lint? Wipe with a slightly damp microfiber cloth — avoid alcohol-based cleaners that can degrade the silicone finish Wireless or MagSafe charging not working? The steel-core ring can interfere with Qi and MagSafe wireless charging — use the USB-C port for fastest reliable wired charging FAQs Will this case fit other iPhone 18 models? No — this case is designed exclusively for the Apple iPhone 18 Pro Max with its expected 6.9-inch display. It is not compatible with iPhone 18, iPhone 18 Pro, or any other model. Please check your iPhone model in Settings before ordering. How does the 360-degree adjustable ring work? The ring rotates a full 360 degrees on a precision-machined hinge built into the back of the case. Fold it out at 90 degrees to use as a vertical or horizontal kickstand. Slide your finger through the closed ring for a secure one-handed grip. The steel core also sticks to magnetic car mounts for hands-free navigation. Does the ring work as a vertical AND horizontal kickstand? Yes — the 360-degree adjustable ring deploys in both portrait (vertical) and landscape (horizontal) orientations. Perfect for FaceTime calls, Zoom meetings, streaming video, recipe reading, and trail navigation. Will the case work with magnetic car mounts? Yes — the steel core inside the ring is magnetic and grips all standard magnetic car mount holders. No separate ring or magnetic sticker needed. Will the case work with MagSafe or Qi wireless charging? Wireless charging is not recommended — the steel-core magnetic ring can interfere with the Qi and MagSafe magnetic fields and slow charging speeds. Use the precision-cut USB-C port for fastest reliable wired charging at full speed. Will this case protect my iPhone 18 Pro Max from drops? Yes — the dual-layer construction of hard polycarbonate (PC) inner shell plus soft silicone outer skin is military-grade certified, with reinforced cushioning at all 4 corners where most drops actually land. Does the case leave the side buttons accessible? Yes — precision-cut openings are sized for the expected side-button and Camera Control layout, so every button should stay easy to reach. Will the ring scratch a desk or table when used as a kickstand? The ring is engineered with smooth rounded edges and a protective polymer coating where it contacts surfaces. Normal desk and tabletop use won't scratch wood, glass, or metal surfaces. Does Face ID work normally with this case? Yes — Face ID works perfectly. The case has no front cover and the raised 2mm front bezel does not interfere with the TrueDepth front camera. Will the ring add a lot of bulk to my pocket? When folded flat against the case back, the ring adds only about 3mm of extra thickness. It fits in standard pants pockets and front pockets without snagging. Is the silicone outer skin removable? Yes — the 2-piece design means you can remove the soft silicone outer skin and use just the hard PC inner shell if you prefer a slimmer profile. Reinstall the silicone skin when you want full dual-layer drop protection. What is your return policy? Yes — Gorilla Cases offers free 30-day returns on all iPhone 18 Pro Max cases. If the case doesn't fit your iPhone 18 Pro Max or you're not satisfied, contact our team within 30 days for a fast replacement or full refund. No restocking fees. Is this case rugged enough for outdoor sports? Yes — the dual-layer construction is engineered for running, mountaineering, hiking, camping, and other outdoor activities. The reinforced corners handle trail drops and gear-pile impacts that destroy single-layer cases. Will the silicone outer skin fade or yellow over time? The silicone outer skin is UV-resistant and engineered to maintain its color and finish for years of daily use. Avoid harsh solvents and prolonged extreme sun exposure to preserve the original look. Does the ring rotation get loose over time? The 360-degree ring uses a precision-machined hinge engineered for thousands of rotation cycles. Under normal daily use the ring will maintain its tension and ability to hold any angle for the full life of the case. Can I use the case while the ring is open? Yes — you can hold the phone, text, take photos, and use all phone functions with the ring deployed. The ring can be partially folded out at any angle without obstructing your grip on the case. What Gorilla Family Customers Are Saying ★★★★★ "Replaced 3 accessories with 1 case." I used to carry a case, a separate PopSocket, AND a magnetic car mount adapter sticker. This case replaced all three. Ring works as a kickstand on my desk for Zoom calls, a finger grip when I'm walking and texting, and grips my magnetic dash mount perfectly for navigation. Best multifunctional iPhone 18 Pro Max case I've owned. — Marcus T., Austin, TX ★★★★★ "Survived a 6-foot drop onto trail rock." Took my iPhone 18 Pro Max on a backpacking trip in the Cascades and dropped it twice — once onto a granite boulder, once onto a packed dirt trail with a sharp rock. The dual-layer construction did its job — silicone outer has a scuff, but the phone itself is flawless. Plus the kickstand was perfect for trail GPS at camp. Best outdoor iPhone case I've owned. — Sophie L., Seattle, WA ★★★★½ "Great for content creation in landscape mode." I shoot a lot of horizontal TikToks and Reels and the 360-degree ring lets me prop the phone at any angle I need — including weird overhead angles for cooking videos. Took half a star off because wireless charging really doesn't work through the steel ring, but wired USB-C is fast so it's not a real issue. Highly recommend for content creators. — Priya S., London, UK ★★★★★ "Perfect car mount case." I drive for work and was sick of the metal sticker I had to attach to my phone case to grip my magnetic dash mount. This case has a built-in steel ring that grips the mount stronger than the sticker ever did. Plus it doubles as a kickstand at the office and a finger grip when I'm walking with coffee. Worth every dollar. — David K., Toronto, ON, Canada ★★★★★ "My husband stole mine so I bought another." Bought this for myself and my husband kept using it as a kickstand for his iPhone 18 Pro Max during dinner videos with our kids on FaceTime. Ended up buying a second one for him. The dual-layer protection has saved both phones from multiple kid-related drops.
