Invisible Guard

In Invisible Guard, Eurika Urbonaviciute conjures an image of silent vigilance and timeless mystery. A cat’s gaze commands the space - piercing, calm, and ancient. Its eyes, glacial and luminous, seem to hold galaxies of intuition and secret knowing. At the center of its forehead, a turquoise emblem glows softly, an emblem of awareness that transcends the physical world. The background dissolves into textured abstraction, suggesting both the seen and the unseen realms merging in quiet equilibrium. The artist’s mastery of tone and surface is striking here. The feline’s sleek form is rendered in layered strokes of graphite black and silver ash, accented by subtle teal highlights that shimmer like hidden energy. The balance of light and shadow is deliberate and ceremonial - a chiaroscuro not of conflict, but of harmony between visible strength and invisible power. Invisible Guard embodies Urbonaviciute’s fascination with the guardianship of spirit. It speaks of perception beyond sight, of presence that protects without revealing itself. The work is both tranquil and commanding - a meditation on trust in the unseen, where silence itself becomes a watchful force.
