INTRALINE PDO Threads M2938 – Mono 29G 38/50mm 6-0 (20 pack)

INTRALINE® PDO Spiral Threads Indications for Use INTRALINE® PDO Spiral Threads are used in aesthetic medicine for skin rejuvenation and lifting. These threads provide a non-surgical solution for addressing sagging skin and loss of firmness. The spiral threads are particularly effective for creating volume and stimulating collagen production in areas where mild to moderate skin laxity is present. They are commonly used to improve skin tone and elasticity, providing a natural-looking lift. Primary Use: Skin lifting and tightening, collagen stimulation. Target Areas: Face, neck, and other areas with sagging skin or loss of firmness, such as cheeks, jawline, and nasolabial folds. Treatment Goals: Restore youthful appearance by stimulating collagen, improving skin tone, and providing mild lifting. INTRALINE® PDO Spiral Threads Dosage Information Each PDO thread is made from polydioxanone (PDO), a safe, biodegradable material that dissolves over time while stimulating the body’s natural production of collagen and elastin. Thread Size: Available in a variety of lengths and thicknesses depending on the treatment area. 29G needle with 50-70mm thread length. USP 6-0 thread for moderate skin laxity. Number of Threads: Typically, multiple threads are inserted in a session to achieve the desired lift, with the number of threads depending on the area being treated and the extent of skin sagging. Application: The threads are inserted just beneath the skin using a cannula or needle. Once in place, the spiral shape provides a volumizing and lifting effect, while the thread itself stimulates collagen production. INTRALINE® PDO Spiral Threads Side Effects and Precautions While PDO threads are generally safe and minimally invasive, there are some side effects and precautions associated with the procedure. Common Side Effects: Bruising and swelling at the injection site, which can last 1-2 weeks. Redness or mild discomfort post-treatment, which typically subsides within 7-14 days. Temporary tenderness and a feeling of tightness in the treated area. Precautions: Avoid strenuous activity or touching the treated area for the first 48 hours after the procedure to reduce the risk of infection or displacement of the threads. Patients should avoid NSAID medications like ibuprofen, as they may increase bruising. Avoid exposure to extreme temperatures (e.g., hot saunas or cold weather) for 10 days after the procedure to promote optimal healing. Contraindications: Patients with active infections, autoimmune diseases, or those who are pregnant or breastfeeding should avoid PDO thread treatments. INTRALINE® PDO Spiral Threads Clinical Studies or Real-World Outcomes PDO threads, such as the INTRALINE® Spiral Threads, have been extensively used in aesthetic medicine for skin rejuvenation and lifting. Real-world outcomes have shown improvement in skin texture, tone, and elasticity over time. Collagen Production: PDO threads stimulate the production of type I and type III collagen, improving skin firmness and elasticity. Full results typically appear 2-6 months post-procedure as collagen production increases. Long-Lasting Effects: The threads dissolve naturally over 6-9 months, with results lasting up to 18 months depending on the patient’s skin type, age, and lifestyle. Lifting and Firmness: Immediate improvement in skin firmness is noticeable due to the mechanical lifting effect, with gradual enhancement as collagen production continues. INTRALINE® PDO Spiral Threads Drug Interactions INTRALINE® PDO Spiral Threads are generally safe and do not typically interact with medications. However, patients should discuss their current medications with their healthcare provider to avoid potential complications. Blood Thinners: Patients on anticoagulants (e.g., aspirin or warfarin) may experience increased bruising. It is important to consult with a physician before discontinuing any medication. NSAIDs: Avoid using non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) like ibuprofen before and after the procedure to minimize the risk of excessive bruising. INTRALINE® PDO Spiral Threads Summary of Benefits The INTRALINE® PDO Spiral Threads provide a non-surgical solution for addressing signs of aging, offering both immediate and long-term benefits. Polydioxanone (PDO): Stimulates the skin’s fibroblasts to produce collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid, improving skin quality. Spiral Design: The spiral shape of the threads creates volume and lift, offering a 3D rejuvenation effect, especially effective in areas like the cheeks and nasolabial folds. INTRALINE® PDO Spiral Threads Recommended Treatment Protocol For optimal results, the PDO Spiral Threads should be used as part of a comprehensive aesthetic treatment plan. The recommended protocol typically involves: Consultation: Assess the patient’s skin type, laxity, and aesthetic goals to determine the number and type of threads required. Preparation: Cleanse and prepare the skin with a topical anesthetic to minimize discomfort. Thread Placement: Insert the threads using a cannula or needle into the targeted areas, ensuring correct depth and placement for optimal lift. Post-Treatment Care: Provide aftercare instructions, including avoiding physical exertion and applying cold compresses to reduce swelling.
