INTERSECTION – Custom Cowhide & Shearling Rug

Crafted for those who see interiors as art, the INTERSECTION rug brings together the precision of architectural grids and the warmth of organic materials. Each piece is composed of hand-cut cowhide tiles arranged in clean vertical and horizontal lines, interrupted gently by soft shearling inserts. The neutral palette — layers of grey stone, and taupe — adds quiet depth and timeless modernity.   Custom-made in Patagonia, this custom carpet rug is a tactile experience of texture and tone. It brings clarity and calm to both minimalist spaces and richly layered interiors. Like the intersecting lines it’s named after, this rug is where raw material meets refined craftsmanship.   Product Details   Raw material: 100% natural Argentine cowhide with Patagonian shearling Pattern design: Geometric stripe pattern Colorway: Stone and Dark Taupe Pattern Repeat: 10" x 12" Pile Height: 5mm  Backing: Special Cotton Canvas Available Sizes: Fully custom — made to order Use: Ideal for interior designers, luxury residential, and boutique trade clients Lead time production:  5-8 weeks.       More About Our Shearling & Cowhide Rugs   Our shearling and cowhide rugs are handcrafted one by one in our Patagonian atelier. We work exclusively with ethically sourced hides from small-scale ranches, using artisanal techniques that preserve the material’s natural beauty and feel. No two pieces are alike — each rug carries subtle differences in color, shape, and grain, reflecting its organic origin.   These tactile compositions are designed with the trade in mind: statement pieces that bring emotional richness and visual order to residential and hospitality interiors alike.   The INTERSECTION custom carpet rug is ideal for trade professionals seeking bespoke handmade rugs that marry geometry with authenticity. Its structured pattern reads as modern while its natural textures add grounding softness to a space. With custom sizing and material flexibility, it’s a go-to solution for large living rooms, libraries, or high-end hospitality projects looking to balance precision and comfort.   FAQs About Custom Carpet Rugs Can I customize the pattern or material composition? Yes, we offer full customization in both layout and material. You may request a full shearling version, different tile orientation, or adjusted color palette.   How do I care for a cowhide and shearling rug? We recommend vacuuming without a brush roll and spot cleaning with a damp cloth.    Is this rug appropriate for high-traffic areas? Yes. The cowhide’s durability and the rug’s structured backing make it suitable for moderate to high-traffic use.
