Insight Meditation

Even in the most difficult of times, the Buddha taught that there is a practice to build resilience, find peace, make wise decisions, and live with empathy for everyone on our shared journey …  Insight meditation, also known as vipassana, is the traditional art of meditation as it was taught by the Buddha himself, and then passed from friend to friend for over 2,600 years. Insight meditation remains popular even today because it works. Since cofounding the Insight Meditation Society (IMS) nearly 50 years ago, Sharon Salzberg and Joseph Goldstein have watched thousands of students transform their lives through meditation. Now, they’re delighted to share their most comprehensive at-home retreat curriculum with Insight Meditation: An In-Depth Course on How to Meditate. This 12-session program is designed to teach anyone, with any level of experience, how to start and continue a meditation practice. The Insight Meditation Course Brings You: World-Class Teachers—Begin a deep and lasting meditation practice with two of our most experienced teachers and cofounders of the Insight Meditation Center. Vipassana Meditation—Explore traditional insight, or vipassana, meditation as it was taught by the Buddha himself and then passed friend to friend for more than 2,600 years.
