1720 Spanish Inquisition Original Document

6B; 1720. Nos los inquisidores apostolicos contra la herètica pravedad, y apostasìa… Rough translation:  "We, the Apostolic Inquisition against heresy and apostasy…" This document gives Juan Carlos de Benavides, of Cordoba, Spain the authority to act as "Alguacil Mayor" (Chief Justice) on behalf of the Spanish Inquisition. This document is handwritten on a vellum parchment. The symbol of the Inquisition is at the center top and on both sides, in brown ink, which is the symbol of the Dominican Order.
