Online Digital Chlorophyll A Sensor

Chlorophyll a is a measure of the amount of algae growing in a waterbody. It can be used to classify the trophic condition of a waterbody. This sensor is only for use with:  Sper Scientific 870001 Multi-Parameter Water Quality Analyzer The digital chlorophyll sensor leverages the unique absorption and emission characteristics of chlorophyll A, which has distinct spectral peaks. By emitting specific monochromatic light wavelengths into the water, the sensor measures the emitted light at another wavelength, which is proportional to the chlorophyll A content in the water.  Key Features Precision and Reliability: Enhanced data accuracy through integrated optical compensation, counteracting LED drift over temperature and time, with ambient light rejection and isolated optical frequencies for minimal interference and improved results. Low Maintenance: Designed with internal diagnostics, reduced calibration solution requirements, and convenient one- or two-point calibration, minimizing time spent on upkeep. Cost Efficiency: Customize your setup by installing only the necessary sensors, optimizing your budget and reducing unnecessary expenses. User-Friendly: Sensors store calibration data, allowing quick compatibility with any sonde for easy use. Broad Application Range: Ideal for diverse monitoring needs, including chlorophyll A detection in water plant inlets, drinking water sources, and aquaculture, as well as continuous online monitoring across various water types such as surface water, landscape ponds, and seawater.
