Most "horror" or "comic" ink brushes are either too clean (modern, even lines with a frustratingly smooth plastic look) or too generic, with over-the-top, scratchy grunge texture applied to everything. Ink Bleed was built differently. Rooted in the pre-Code horror comics of roughly 1948–1955, printed hot and cheap on four-color newsprint. The result is inking that feels like it survived the Comics Code instead of being born after it.
