But even the finest kayak is, at times, going to be in water conditions where some added stability will be welcome, and even the most experienced paddler may at times find themselves glad for some added stability. With a pair of Brooklyn Kayak Company inflatable kayak outriggers secured to a sit-on-top kayak hull, that boat will be as stable and flip-resistant as any yak on the water. These lightweight but durable inflatable outriggers secure to the hull of a sit-on-top kayak with a system of lightweight poles. They are placed on either side of the kayak floating in the water well behind the paddler, so they won’t affect strokes or steering. And the floats add minimal drag, so you won’t lose speed or performance as you paddle. You’ll simply gain so much stability that it will be almost impossible for your kayak to flip. Or even rock enough to cause discomfort, for that matter. Installation and removal of the BKC Inflatable Kayak Outriggers system is quick and easy, so you can use them to customize a kayak for a newer paddler or to add stability for fishing, photography, or in bad weather. Because they are inflatable, you can deflate them for easy transport and storage. Anyone looking for added comfort and a better sense of safety on the water will appreciate these kayak outriggers, which transform your kayak into a modern-day take on the same type of vessel that has been trusted on open water for thousands of years.
