Infinity Tools 1/4" Shank Solid Carbide Compression Pattern Cutting Router Bit

Our premium quality 1/4" shank Compression router bit is your best choice when working with patterns that mount on top of the finished product. The true-solid carbide construction provides a long-lasting sharp cut, while the compression design of the flutes guarantees tear-out free results. An excellent router bit choice for creating mortises in flat panels. The top cutter geometry is designed for efficient plunge cuts, while the shank-mounted bearing keeps the cut exactly on target. We don't cut corners, so unlike inferior bits that are built with a steel shank, ours are true-solid, precision ground from one solid piece of C4 micrograin carbide. This insures perfect concentricity and a superior cut with extended tool life. We tested similar tools made on a steel shank and our true-solid construction ran circles around the competition.   85-230B: 1/4" shank, 1/2" cutter diameter and 1-1/8" cutter height Top-mounted bearing router bits offer several benefits: The bearing at the top of the bit simplifies the setup process, making it more straightforward for woodworkers, especially those who may be less experienced. This Infinity router bit can be used for multiple applications, including edge profiling, rabbeting, and dado cutting. The top-mounted bearing allows for greater flexibility in creating different profiles and cuts by adjusting the bit height. And the top-mounted bearing ensures a consistent depth of cut, particularly important when creating joints or when uniformity is critical. Top-mounted bearings are excellent for template and pattern routing. The bearing rides along the edge of the template and accurately creates an identical piece or an intricate design. Top-mounted bearing router bits are ideal for flush trimming operations.
