Indy Excitement 2009 Program Image by Thomas Kinkade

Indy Excitement Program Image by Thomas Kinkade Image Size: 24″ x 36″. Unique Mixed Media on Board. Hand Signed Collector Print, 2009 Program and photo accompany the artwork Created to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway(IMS), this painting was in progress by Thomas Kinkade when the Speedway contacted him to let him know that they needed the painting to meet their printing deadline for the programs and the posters. Kinkade created a print on board for the Speedway and added extensive highlights before sending it for photo capture. This one of a kind print was used for the pull-out front cover and the posters that were created by the IMS. Along with this very special, unique piece, a Collector Print that is hand-signed by Kinkade is included to show the finalized painting with added details. A hand-signed photograph of Kinkade is an another bonus. Notes from Thomas Kinkade To create my tribute painting as the official artist for the Centennial Era of this famous speedway, I was allowed to take my sketching materials right onto the grounds of the track. I even got to set up and work at the famous brickyard starting line! As I worked, I envisioned a crowd of cheering spectators from each of the generations that have embraced the track as an American icon. I even envisioned including famous cars from the golden age of racing in my painting. The finished work required countless studio hours, and an immense amount of final detailing. I hope you will join me in saluting the Indianapolis Motor Speedway® as it celebrates 100 years of Indy® Excitement.
