Indasa Rhynolock 3" Surface Conditioning Locking Discs, 8003 Series

Product Overview Indasa 3" Surface Conditioning Locking Discs – 8003 Series are professional-grade non-woven abrasive discs designed for surface conditioning, blending, cleaning, and rust removal. These discs use an abrasive-impregnated web that produces a clean, paintable surface without damaging the substrate, as stated in the Indasa product sheet (“Produces a clean paintable surface without damaging substrate”). The flexible open-weave construction conforms easily to contours and edges, while the high-strength resin bond minimizes grit shedding (“Minimal grit shedding”). The QuickFix R-Type (Type II) roll-on screw attachment provides fast disc changes and is fully compatible with Roloc®-type systems. Available in Coarse (Brown), Medium (Maroon), and Very Fine (Blue) grits. Features & Benefits Abrasive-impregnated non-woven web for consistent scratch pattern and controlled finishing High-strength resin bond reduces grit shedding and improves durability QuickFix R-Type screw attachment for fast, tool-free disc changes Flexible open-weave construction adapts to contours, edges, and irregular surfaces Leaves a clean, smooth, paintable surface ideal for refinishing Stays cool during use, reducing risk of substrate damage Suitable Materials Steel and stainless steel Non-ferrous metals (aluminum, copper, brass) Hard metals Plastics and composites Fiberglass Hard wood Recommended Applications Surface conditioning and blending Weld seam cleaning (“Weld seams cleaning”) Surface preparation prior to coating Paint removal Rust and scale removal Deburring and edge refinement Light stock removal and leveling Product Specifications Size: 3" diameter Series: 8003 (Surface Conditioning) Attachment: R-Type QuickFix (Roloc® compatible) Backing: Y-weight polyester + nylon (“Y wt Polyester + Nylon”) Grits: Coarse (Brown), Medium (Maroon), Very Fine (Blue) Grain: Aluminum Oxide Suitable for: Dry sanding Max RPM: 20,000 (“RPM Max: 20000”) Quantity: 25 discs per box Finishing Focus, Inc. Expert Notes The 8003 Series offers the same high-performance non-woven construction as the 2" version, but with a larger 3" footprint for increased coverage and smoother blending on wider surfaces. The abrasive-impregnated web and resin bond deliver predictable finishing results and reduced grit shedding, improving both performance and lifespan. The QuickFix R-Type attachment makes these discs ideal for automotive, marine, and industrial environments where fast disc changes are essential. The flexible open-weave structure prevents loading and keeps the disc cool, making it safe for heat-sensitive materials. Color-coded grits (Brown = Coarse, Maroon = Medium, Blue = Very Fine) simplify selection and ensure consistent finishing results across different applications.
