Inconsistencia

Inconsistencia Juan Antonio Guirado (1932–2010) 2001 Mixed media on paper 64.5 x 50 cm / 25 1/2 x 19 3/4 in Catalog number: JAG/P 219 – INTRA ABS 02 Provenance: Guirado Estate Collection Location of artwork: USA / UK (please enquire) Framing: Unframed Price: $14,500 USD Description Inconsistencia is a striking example of Guirado’s late Intrarealist language, where instability becomes both subject and structure. The composition carries a sense of flux — forms emerging and dissolving within a dynamic surface — suggesting a world in constant transformation. The work speaks to psychological, environmental, and existential uncertainty with remarkable clarity. Executed in 2001, it reflects a period in which the artist’s visual language became increasingly distilled, yet conceptually expansive. Its immediacy and relevance make it particularly resonant within today’s cultural landscape.
