Inboard cable kit

Jaltest Inboard Cable Kit (70002009) — Focused Diagnostic Coverage for Inboard Marine EnginesThe Jaltest Inboard Cable Kit is built specifically for shops that specialize in inboard marine engines — sterndrive and shaft-drive applications powered by Volvo Penta, MerCruiser/Mercury, and Yanmar. Eight cables, the right brands, no extras you won't use. If you're comparing this to the Jaltest Boat Cable Kit (70002008), here's exactly where the difference lies: the Boat Cable Kit adds five cables for outboard brands — Yamaha (JDC601A), Honda (JDC608A), Evinrude (JDC609.9), Suzuki 8-pin (JDC613A), and Suzuki 4-pin (JDC616A). If you don't work on those outboard engines, the Inboard Cable Kit covers your actual workload at $300 less. If you service both inboard and outboard, step up to the Boat Cable Kit. All 8 Cables Included JDC527A — Volvo Penta 6-pin diagnostics cable ($105 value) JDC603A — Mercury 4-pin diagnostics cable ($70 value) JDC604.9 — Mercury 10-pin MEFI 1-4 diagnostics cable ($110 value) JDC611A — OBD-M / Volvo Penta EGCI 6-pin cable ($75 value) JDC612A — Yanmar 3-pin diagnostics cable ($70 value) JDC614A9 — Mercury 2-pin diagnostics cable ($60 value) JDC617A — DTS Mercury/MerCruiser diagnostics cable ($75 value) JDC618A9 — Volvo Penta KAD/KAMD/TAMD A9 diagnostics cable ($110 value) Brand and Engine CoverageThis kit covers the three dominant inboard marine engine brands in North America: Volvo Penta (including EGCI 6-pin, KAD/KAMD/TAMD A9, and standard 6-pin interfaces), MerCruiser and Mercury (4-pin, 10-pin MEFI 1-4, 2-pin, and DTS interfaces), and Yanmar (3-pin). The multiple cables per brand reflect the reality that these manufacturers have used different diagnostic connectors across model years and engine families — having all the variants means you're not turning away work because you have the wrong cable. Software RequirementThis cable kit is used with the Jaltest Marine Inboard software module (part number 74501003, sold separately, MSRP $1,795). The software provides fault code reading and clearing, live data monitoring, actuator testing, and calibration functions for supported inboard engines. Who This Kit Is For Marine shops that specialize in sterndrive and inboard shaft-drive engines Volvo Penta and MerCruiser dealers with dedicated inboard service operations Independent technicians focusing on the inboard market rather than general marine Shops that want to invest in inboard coverage now and potentially add the outboard cables later When you're ready to expand to outboards, the Jaltest Boat Cable Kit (70002008) is the natural upgrade path — it includes all eight of these cables plus five more.
