This stone was historically cherished in the ancient civilizations of Mesopotamia, as well as Ancient Egypt, Greece, and Rome.   Lapis was used in sacred adornments, jewelry, statues, and as a pigment for makeup and for paintings depicting the sky and sea. It has been treasured for thousands of years for its vibrant color and healing qualities. Known as a truth stone, Lapis fortifies our integrity, deepens our communication, and brings harmony to friendships and love.   Lapis was first associated with the ancient Sumerian goddess Inanna, known as the Queen of Heaven, and thought to promote wisdom, love, harmony and creativity.  This unique and magical ring is crafted in a solid silver setting.
