In the Parshah

The Torah's Strategy For Finding The Proper Shidduch For some, being "in the parshah of shidduchim" may translate into rosy dreams of rings, wedding plans, and the smashing of a glass under the chuppah, followed by joyous cries of, "Mazel tov!" For others, however, being in this same parshah may mean living with feelings of anxiety, pain, and even despair. In this warm and insightful book, noted shadchan, mentor, and shidduch advice columnist Rabbi Yoni Posnick utilizes divrei Torah and sources from the Chumash to provide guidance, direction, and reassurance to those "in the parshah." Topics such as the importance of being "settled" with oneself before beginning to date; questions that should and should not be asked about a prospective marriage partner; and how to make sure that one does not pass up the right shidduch, are explored in Rabbi Posnick's sensitive yet forthright manner.  This book is a treasure for singles who are "in the parshah," as well as for their parents, shadchanim, and all others who may be involved in the often-complex area of shidduchim. If you are looking for the Torah's guidance in this all-important stage of your life, "the parshah of shidduchim," this book is for you!
