In the Beginning — Inspired by the Creation (Genesis 1)

Some questions are too big for bedtime. Sela has them anyway. By the fire, under a wide and starlit sky, a curious little girl asks her grandmother who put the stars in their place. And so the oldest story of all begins: the dark before the light, the sky no one had ever looked up at, the flowers still waiting for their names. In the Beginning retells the story of Creation from Genesis 1 through the eyes of one small child who simply wants to understand. As Grandma tells it, the whole world unfolds, light and sky and sea, every creature and every animal, and at the very end, people. Shaped from the ground. Loved before they even had a name. It is only at the end that Sela learns who her grandmother truly is. And why some stories are never forgotten. A gentle, unhurried picture book for ages 4 to 10, made to be read slowly and treasured for years. The first story in the Old Testament Collection, Volume Two.
