Imported Locatelli Romano (1 LB)

You're talking about a true classic! Locatelli Romano is a highly respected brand of Pecorino Romano cheese, and it's a favorite among cheese lovers and Italian food enthusiasts. Here's what makes it stand out: Authenticity: Locatelli Pecorino Romano is a PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) cheese, meaning it must adhere to strict production guidelines and be made in specific regions of Italy (Lazio, Tuscany, and Sardinia) to bear that name. This ensures authenticity and quality. Sheep's Milk: It's made exclusively from 100% pasteurized sheep's milk, which gives it a distinctive sharp, salty, and slightly tangy flavor. Aging: Locatelli Romano is aged for a minimum of 9 months, developing its firm texture and intense flavor. Some wheels are aged even longer for a sharper bite. Versatility: While it's fantastic for grating over pasta (especially classics like Cacio e Pepe or Amatriciana), it's also delicious on its own. Try it with some crusty bread, a drizzle of honey, or alongside fresh fruit.
