Consequence is an evolved fungal chitosan product designed to strengthen crops and defend against a wide spectrum of pathogens. Consequence is a 25(b) EPA-exempt biopesticide, effective against nematodes as well as fungal, bacterial, and viral pathogens. The chitosan in Consequence is a naturally occurring biopolymer derived from fungal cell walls instead of allergenic shellfish sources. When applied to plants, Consequence functions both as a direct antimicrobial agent and as a biochemical signal that activates the plant’s own defense systems. Consequence also enhances root growth, nutrient uptake, and tolerance to environmental stress.
