Il Primo

Il Primo from Kansas City's Parisi Coffee is a masterfully balanced espresso blend that honors traditional Italian roasting while showcasing modern specialty coffee standards. This crowd-pleasing blend delivers a creamy, butter-smooth body that makes it equally at home as a straight shot or the foundation for your morning cappuccino. Tasting NotesThe cup opens with rich milk chocolate sweetness, layered with notes of caramel that provide depth without heaviness. Bright grapefruit and honeydew melon notes add complexity and lift, keeping the profile from becoming one-dimensional. The mouthfeel is notably creamy and buttery—a hallmark of well-executed espresso blending—while medium acidity provides just enough structure to cut through milk beautifully. The finish is clean and pleasing, with lingering chocolate and a whisper of stone fruit sweetness. Brew MethodsIl Primo shines brightest as espresso, where its creamy body and balanced sweetness really come forward. It's forgiving across a range of extraction times, making it approachable for home baristas still dialing in their shots. This blend excels in milk-based drinks—cappuccinos, lattes, and flat whites—where the chocolate and caramel notes complement steamed milk without getting lost. While optimized for espresso, Il Primo also performs well as pour over or drip coffee when you want a fuller-bodied morning cup with chocolatey richness.
