A Mastering Suite in Your Hand The iFi iDSD Valkyrie is a powerful balanced USB and Bluetooth ultra-res DAC and headphone amplifier. Designed for passionate audiophiles seeking a flagship DAC/amp that goes beyond sheer precision, Valkyrie lets you sculpt the feel of your music with technologies found in the world's best mastering houses. It is equipped with Qualcomm's flagship QCC5181 chip featuring Bluetooth 5.4, capable of streaming lossless CD-quality audio without sacrificing quality. With an astonishing 5,700mW of max power, Valkyrie can drive the toughest headphone loads with ease. DSD Remastering The iDSD Valkyrie is designed intently for those wanting to sculpt the feel and emotion of their music to exactly how they envision it. Inspired by the artistry of mastering engineers, it features iFi's bespoke DSD1024 Remastering algorithm, powered by a custom-coded FPGA. Similar to the technology used in Sony’s mastering studios, DSD Remastering transforms any file by increasing resolution and reducing distortion – delivering sound that rivals a professionally remastered recording. K2 and K2HD Modes Developed at Victor Studios, this technology restores emotion to digital audio. JVCKENWOOD engineers refined K2 using thousands of masters, relying on human expertise. Once exclusive, it now powers the Valkyrie at the press of a button. The Valkyrie incorporates two modes: ‘K2’ mode and ‘K2HD’ mode. K2HD optionally upscales audio files to 192kHz/24-bit before applying selected K2 parameters for precise waveform shaping. It extends high frequencies to restore natural harmonics, achieving sound quality close to the original master. For those who prefer restoration without changing the sample rate, K2 mode provides a similar effect while preserving the file’s original resolution. Quad-DAC Architecture At the heart of the Valkyrie are four Burr-Brown DSD1793 DACs in a hybrid multi-bit configuration, drawing inspiration from iFi's long-standing experience with the legendary multi-bit Philips TDA1541A. First introduced in the Pro iDSD, this interleaved design captures the magic and impact of the iconic multi-bit chipset, but with superior low-level linearity for breathtaking detail. Additional Features Six Digital Filters Valkyrie offers six digital filters, letting you fine-tune the details and craft a listening experience that’s truly your own: Bit Perfect, Standard, Minimum, GTO, Apodising and Transient Aligned. Perfect Your Headphones Complementing its digital customization suite, the Valkyrie features analogue processing that transforms headphone listening into a captivating experience. Cut the Cord, Not the Quality As pioneers of Lossless Bluetooth, iFi equipped the Valkyrie with the latest technology to deliver CD-quality audio wirelessly, with zero data loss. It also supports genuine Hi-Res Bluetooth playback over LDAC and LHDC. Next-Gen Compatibility xMEMS is a cutting-edge driver technology for IEMs that uses the piezoelectric effect to deliver lightning-fast, accurate sound. The Valkyrie provides the correct bias voltage and equalization required to optimally drive xMEMS IEMs. Colossal Battery Capacity To power all its advanced features, Valkyrie requires a serious battery configuration. Lift the hood and you'll find four batteries, combining for 20,000mAh. Rapid Recharging Valkyrie's impressive fast-charging capability allows you to fully recharge in just 2.5 hours. It supports the latest USB-C PD standards and is QC3.0 certified at 20V. Winged Wonder The front plate design of the iDSD Valkyrie is inspired by the majestic wings of the Valkyrie's horse. Finished with satin retro champagne anodization, Valkyrie features a timeless aesthetic.
