iFi iDSD PHANTOM

The iFi iDSD PHANTOM is a flagship all-in-one streaming DAC and headphone amplifier designed to serve as the digital centerpiece of a reference HiFi or headphone system. It combines ultra-resolution network streaming, a quad Burr-Brown DAC architecture, studio-grade DSD2048 Remastering, and a powerful fully balanced Class A headphone amplifier in a single chassis. At its core, four Burr-Brown DACs work with iFi's custom Chrysopoeia FPGA engine to support PCM up to 768kHz and native DSD512, with real-time remastering up to DSD2048. JVCKENWOOD K2HD Technology provides additional harmonic restoration for compatible digital recordings. The fully balanced Class A analogue stage lets listeners switch in real time between discrete solid-state, NOS GE5670 tube, and Tube+ modes. With up to 4,676mW RMS into 64Ω and 7,747mW peak output, the PHANTOM provides substantial power for demanding planar magnetic and high-impedance headphones. Built-in streaming supports Qobuz Connect, TIDAL Connect, Spotify Connect, Roon, AirPlay, DLNA, and UPnP, while balanced XLR and RCA line outputs allow the PHANTOM to function as a reference DAC and preamplifier for power amplifiers, active speakers, and high-end HiFi systems. Studio-Grade DSD2048 Remastering iFi's Chrysopoeia FPGA engine can remaster incoming digital audio to DSD512, DSD1024, or DSD2048 before conversion. Four Burr-Brown DACs operate in a custom interleaved configuration, bringing iFi's highest-resolution DSD Remastering technology to a home audio component. Solid-State, Tube & Tube+ Class A Modes The PHANTOM provides three selectable analogue personalities. Solid-State mode uses discrete J-FET circuitry for speed and precision, Tube mode introduces hand-selected NOS GE5670 valves, and Tube+ increases second-order harmonic content for a warmer, more pronounced tube presentation. All three modes can be selected in real time. Ultra-Resolution Network Streaming The next-generation streaming engine supports PCM up to 768kHz and DSD512 over the network, with native support for Qobuz Connect, TIDAL Connect, Spotify Connect, Roon, AirPlay, DLNA, and UPnP. The iFi Nexis app provides network setup, system control, advanced settings, and over-the-air updates. Powerful Balanced Headphone Amplification The fully balanced Class A headphone amplifier delivers at least 4,676mW RMS into 64Ω and 564mW at 600Ω, with up to 7,747mW peak output. Multiple balanced and single-ended headphone connections accommodate a broad range of reference headphones and IEMs. K2HD, XBass Pro & XSpace Pro JVCKENWOOD K2HD Technology is designed to restore harmonic information lost during digital production and encoding. XBass Pro provides selectable 10Hz, 20Hz, and 40Hz analogue bass adjustment, while XSpace Pro offers 30°, 60°, and 90° spatial settings for tailoring headphone presentation.
