Icom MBF4 Mobile Radio Main Body Mounting Bracket

Secure Installation for High-Performance Mobile Transceivers The Icom MBF4 is a rugged, professional-grade mounting bracket designed to provide a secure and stable foundation for your Icom mobile radio chassis. Engineered specifically for the main body of the 5100A and 2730A series, this heavy-gauge steel bracket allows for a clean and professional installation in a variety of vehicle types. Whether you are mounting your radio under a dashboard, against a floor console, or in a specialized radio rack, the MBF4 ensures your equipment remains firmly in place, protecting it from vibration and impact during transit. Designed as a "U-shaped" mobile bracket, the MBF4 provides ample clearance for heat dissipation, allowing the radio's cooling fans to operate efficiently even during high-power transmissions. Its adjustable design allows operators to tilt the radio chassis to the most convenient angle for cable management and accessibility. As a genuine Icom accessory, it features precision-aligned mounting holes that match the radio's side-chassis threads perfectly, preventing the stripping or misalignment common with universal third-party mounts. No. The MBF4 is designed specifically to hold the main body (chassis) of the radio. To mount the detached control head, you will need the MBA-2 (for 5100) or MBA-5 (for 2730). Can I use this for an older Icom radio? While it is specifically marketed for the 5100 and 2730, it may fit other Icom mobile radios with similar chassis widths. However, we recommend checking your radio's manual to ensure the mounting hole pattern matches. Does this include the screws to bolt it to my car's floor? This kit includes the screws to attach the bracket to the radio. Because every vehicle is different, the self-tapping screws or bolts needed to secure the bracket to your vehicle's interior are typically provided by the installer or sold separately.
