Research & Fun Facts This blend was originally designed by midwives for mothers who felt very warm or were experiencing hot flashes. Peppermint is a large contributor to the cooling effect of Icicle. Elevated body temperature can be caused by a number of factors: bacterial/viral infection, dehydration, or overexposure to heat. Aerobic exercise also induces a temporary increase in body temperature. Natural fevers are the body's defense mechanism against infection.
