The timing system on Subaru FA20 engines is complex, so having a pre-timed long block helps ensure proper assembly and faster installation. :contentReference[oaicite:1]{index=1} BUILT WITH 100% NEW COMPONENTS The IAG 800 Long Block is engineered to support up to 800 BHP applications. The FA20F short block starts with new Subaru FA20 case halves machined for improved oiling and closed-deck strength using IAG Closed Deck Inserts. These inserts allow coolant flow at the deck surface and provide added rigidity. The short block is deck-plate bored and honed to 86.1mm using precision in-house equipment, then assembled with a new Subaru FA20 WRX crankshaft, ACL or King main bearings, and IAG-spec H-Beam connecting rods with ARP2000 rod bolts. IAG-spec forged 86.1mm pistons complete the assembly. :contentReference[oaicite:2]{index=2} FORGED RODS & PISTONS To address the known weaknesses in the OEM FA20 connecting rods at higher torque levels, the IAG 800 long block features reinforced IAG-spec H-Beam rods with ARP hardware and high-strength IAG-spec forged pistons. These upgrades provide the strength needed to handle increased cylinder pressures and boost levels. :contentReference[oaicite:3]{index=3} CLOSED DECK FOR EXTRA STRENGTH The unique IAG closed deck system significantly increases block rigidity by supporting the cylinder walls at the top of the case, preventing flex and potential cracking in high-pressure scenarios. The case halves are machined to accept the inserts, press fitted with liquid nitrogen and heat, and finished to a precise surface while maintaining coolant flow. This design minimizes the risk of overheating even under demanding conditions. :contentReference[oaicite:4]{index=4} IAG 800 FA20 DIT CNC POCKET PORTED CYLINDER HEAD PACKAGE Each IAG 800 FA20 DIT Cylinder Head Set starts with new OEM castings from Subaru, which are CNC machined on a Centroid 5-axis machine to perform precision pocket porting for optimized airflow. The heads are also drilled for ½" or 14mm head studs for increased clamping strength, then finished with GSC manganese-bronze guides, Kelford dual cylindrical valve springs, GSC Viton valve stem seals, and Kelford "A" 272 camshafts. OEM cam towers, rockers, pivots, and valve shim caps are included for a complete head assembly. :contentReference[oaicite:5]{index=5} IAG 800 FA20 DIT LONG BLOCK INCLUDES IAG 800 FA20 2.0L Short Block Includes: Brand new OEM Subaru FA20 case halves, bored & honed to 86.1mm Case machining modified for improved oiling Closed deck with O-ring receiver grooves Deck plate bored & honed Head studs machined for ½" studs (studs sold separately) IAG-Spec 86.1mm forged pistons, ring set, and wrist pins Connecting rods – IAG-Spec H-Beam with ARP2000 rod bolts ACL or King rod & main bearings Crankshaft – new Subaru FA20 DIT WRX crankshaft Case/main bolts – Standard Subaru case bolts OEM oil plug pre-installed at oil pan location Compression Ratio: 10.5:1 compression on standard gasket thickness IAG 800 FA20 DIT CNC Pocket Ported Cylinder Heads Package Includes: Brand new Subaru AW20 FA20 WRX DIT cylinder head castings GSC +1mm intake valves GSC +1mm exhaust valves Kelford dual cylindrical valve springs & retainers GSC manganese-bronze valve guides GSC valve stem seals IAG CNC pocket porting Multi-angle valve job Drilled for ½" or 14mm head studs Threaded coolant plug upgrade Resurfaced & ultrasonically cleaned Kelford "A" 272 camshafts OEM cam towers & hardware OEM rockers, pivots & lifters Valve lash caps & service Gaskets, Hardware & Accessories: ARP 2000 ½" head stud set OEM head gaskets OEM valve cover gaskets OEM cam seals OEM valve covers OEM timing components & oil pump/timing cover Rear main seal & separator kit Crankshaft woodruff key Please Note: This item is not eligible for standard ground shipping and must be delivered via freight.  STOCK NOTICE: This item is built to order and carries a minimum 6-8 week build time.
