Key Features USB Electric Internal Filter The hygger electric sponge filter does not require connection to an air pump; its USB electric design provides strong power, stable water pressure, and an enhanced filtering and purification effect. – Extendable outlet pipe for height adjustment. – 360° rotating aeration outlet for customizable flow direction. – Multiple installation setups are available — vertical or horizontal mounting is possible. – Fits tanks of various depths and styles. Advanced Filtration System This HG176 compact filter provides dual-stage filtration: Mechanical Filtration: The high-density sponge captures debris, fish waste, and uneaten food, keeping the water clear. Biological Filtration: The included ceramic balls promote beneficial bacterial growth, breaking down harmful substances like ammonia and nitrite effectively. Replaceable Filter Sponge & Bio-balls The first level is physical filtration through the microporous filter sponge; water passes through the small filter box with ceramic balls for biochemical filtration. Two Easy Mounting Methods Extendable Pipe with Suction Cup: For tanks of any wall thickness — stable and easy to position. Hang-On Extendable Plastic Clip: Ideal for tanks under 0.6 inches (1.5 cm) thick. Special Use with Air Pump With 2 suction cups fixed on the tank wall firmly. Suitable for use when the filter is installed at the bottom of the tank. The hose connection on the top of the rotating aeration outlet head can be connected to the air pump (not included) to add more oxygen. Pneumatic air plus USB electric, double enhance oxygen to water and circulate water in the tank. Rotating Aeration Outlet Head 360° The extendable pipe easily modifies the air outlet height to suit needs, the sponge angle can be rotated, which can meet the needs of above or below the water surface, and can be placed at will according to the tank’s need to enhance water circulation and achieve a stronger filtering. Easy Disassemble & Cleaning Two kinds of replaceable filter materials, with a total of 2 sponges, and 1 media box with ceramic filters. The USB electric sponge filter is easy to disassemble, and the filter material and shell are easy to clean. Quiet & Energy-Efficient USB Pump Powered by a DC 5V USB water pump, the motor operates quietly and efficiently, consuming minimal energy while maintaining stable water circulation. Perfect for small tanks in bedrooms, offices, and living rooms. Suggest S size for tanks smaller than 20 gallons, M size for tanks smaller than 45 gallons. Usage Tips Please rinse and soak all filter materials before use. The filter sponge should be replaced or cleaned every 2–4 weeks. If the water flow is significantly weakened or off, the filter sponge should be checked and cleaned immediately. It does not contain a USB adapter head (Need DC 5V 1A), or use other. Filtration Principle Water flows through the microporous sponge, which absorbs impurities. It then passes through ceramic balls, where beneficial bacteria break down and decompose organic waste — ensuring balanced water parameters.
