HYDROS Control Kraken

The HYDROS Control Kraken by CoralVue is a large, heavy-duty 24V DC power manager and full aquarium controller. It delivers high-power switched DC outputs from one industrial Mean Well power supply, letting you remove the tangle of individual “power bricks” and “wall warts” from your setup. The Kraken powers up to 20 amps of system-critical life-support equipment while monitoring the current to every device — and it's a complete HYDROS brain that can take over decision-making for your entire collective. Key features Eight Force Ports — controllable 24V DC outputs with individual power monitoring for lights, return pumps, skimmers, filters, and more. Four Drive Ports — switched 12V DC for dosing pumps, cooling fans, and cabinet LEDs, with current monitoring. Battery Backup Port — connect an external 12V lead-acid battery to keep the HYDROS system running in Low Power Mode during an outage. Two Command Bus ports — wire the Kraken to any other HYDROS controller for the ultimate failsafe. Controls up to eight HYDROS WiFi devices — power strips, smart plugs, and more from the app. Specifications Max per Force Port: 8A Total max amperage: 20A Power supply: external industrial-grade Mean Well Super Brick Cooling: fully passive — no noisy fans Voltage: universal, works with 110V and 220V; designed to pass ETL/UL Dimensions (L×W×H): 9.5″ × 4.75″ × 3.2″ Engineered, assembled, and supported in the USA. Frequently asked questions What devices work with the Kraken? If your device has a power-supply brick and outputs 12V or 24V, it will run on the Kraken — which lets you retire that brick and clean up your wiring. How much power can it handle? Up to 20A total, with each of the eight 24V Force Ports supplying up to 8A. Does it keep my tank alive during a power outage? Yes — its dedicated Battery Backup Port runs the HYDROS system in Low Power Mode from an external 12V battery. Many reefers pair the Kraken with a Control X4 for sensing and probes. For switched AC outlets instead, see the Control XP8. Shipped fast with expert support.
