Hyaluronic Acid + Squalane

Hyaluronic acid + Squalane oil combination serum   Best for normal to dry skin, offers a profound dual-action hydrating and moisturizing effect.  This fast-absorbing serum naturally moisturizes your skin at every level.   Why hyaluronic acid? Hyaluronan or hyaluronic acid (HA) is responsible for binding water within the skin (and other areas in the body).  Your HA molecules are sugar polymers that reside in the framework spaces between your skin cells termed the extracellular matrix.  This binding and retention of water within the skin contributes to the plumpness and hydrated look of healthy skin. Your own body has a natural ability to produce hyaluronic acid where it’s needed which is mostly in the skin, but with aging the quantity of hyaluronic acid and the length of the polymers are both reduced which leads to lower skin hydration levels. How it works When applied to the skin surface, HA molecules will penetrate to the deeper layers where they are needed.  Our formulation includes low molecular weight HA particles that have been proven to offer superior skin penetration and reduction of skin wrinkle depth than large particle HA. Because the “lifespan” of HA in the skin is slightly less than 1 day, it is optimal to apply an HA serum once daily, either in the morning as the last step before applying sunscreen and/or makeup or in the evening as the last step after any retinol or antioxidant skin products. Why did we add squalane? Plant-based squalane is a very mild and non-irritating oil that boosts the skin’s natural barrier function and improves softness.  In combination with HA that holds onto water within the skin, squalane maintains the skin hydration by preventing evaporation on the surface.  Squalane also lends a bright, dewy look to the skin. How to use this product Apply a few drops at a time to the entire face and gently massage until mostly absorbed. Best used after other serums.  Can be applied AM or both AM/PM.   Key Ingredients: Low Molecular Weight Hyaluronic Acid Squalane (Plant Derived)   Full Ingredients: Squalane, Sodium Hyaluronate Low Molecular Weight, Sodium Hyaluronate High Molecular Weight, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Silica Dimethyl Silylate, Butylene Glycol, Caprylyl Glycol, Hexylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol.
