Hyalite Highlights

The height of the wildflower bloom high in the Gallatin Mountains of SW Montana is one of my favorite times of year. In the summer of 2023, it occurred later than it often does, after a cool, wet spring. Here, during the second week of August, on a day of scattered, gentle rain showers, I spent a few windless moments near Hyalite Lake capturing a serene scene of paintbrush, asters, and lovely reflections.  Shot with Fuji's 102 megapixel medium format camera, this image has the type of resolution to truly put you in the moment. The photograph is offered on fine, archival photo paper and also ready-to-hang aluminum as part of a limited edition, each one of which comes signs and numbered and ships free to the lower 48.
