Hy Free 13

ATK’s Hy Free 13 binding is shaking up the backcountry scene with its unbeatable blend of durability and performance. Crafted from solid aluminum, every one of its 22 metal parts per half pair is built to handle the toughest runs—just ask pro skier Nikolai Schirmer. Designed for smooth skiability, it sits nearly flat in ski mode, winning over fans of alpine bindings like the Look Pivot. Though a bit heavier than some, its skinning style is surprisingly polite. With clever heel positioning and two risers for uphill comfort, switching between tour and ski modes is a breeze. When it comes to hybrid bindings, the Hy Free 13 is the one to beat!   25mm BSL adjustment provides ample adjustment for your boot quiver. -18mm, +10mm, +34mm touring heights make short work of all potential skinning situations. Metal construction emphasizes durability, ensuring these stay around for the long term. 7mm of elastic travel smooths over rough terrain. Transitioning between ski and touring modes has been designed to be intuitive and simple. Vertical release in the heel and lateral release in the toe function similarly to an alpine binding. Included Crampon Shim ensures ATK ski crampons will work with most boots on the market. Flat skiing position works well with modern ski shaping.
