HUUM DROP 6 DROP Series 6.0kW Sauna Heater

HUUM DROP 6 DROP Series 6.0kW Sauna Heater The HUUM DROP 6 is a 6kW wall-mounted electric sauna heater for sauna rooms from 177 to 318 cubic feet, with the iconic water-droplet form. This listing is the heater only. A UKU control unit and sauna stones are required for operation and sold separately. The DROP 6 is the mid-range entry model in the HUUM DROP series - a step up from the DROP 4.5 (106-177 cu ft) in output for rooms from 177 to 318 cubic feet on the same 30A / 10 AWG circuit. No UKU Extension Box is required. For a complete installation including control and stones in a single purchase, see the HUUM DROP 6STU Package listing at BathingBrands. The DROP design - water-droplet form, 122 lbs of stone at 6kW The HUUM DROP is one of the most distinctive sauna heater silhouettes in contemporary design - a smooth, rounded water-droplet shape that mounts on the sauna wall with the pointed end facing downward. The DROP 6 delivers this aesthetic at 6kW for rooms from 177 to 318 cubic feet, with the same 122-lb stone capacity as the DROP 4.5. At 6kW driving 122 lbs of 2"-4" (5-10 cm) rounded olivine diabase stones, the DROP 6 produces consistent, soft steam throughout sessions in the room range it covers. The stone placement video in the documents section below covers the correct loading method for the DROP basket - following the correct stone placement procedure is important for element life and steam quality performance across all DROP models. 6kW on a 30A / 10 AWG circuit - same as DROP 4.5, larger room range The DROP 4.5 and DROP 6 share the same 30A / 10 AWG electrical specification - a single-circuit installation with no UKU Extension Box. The difference between them is output and room coverage: DROP 4.5 covers 106-177 cu ft; DROP 6 covers 177-318 cu ft. For rooms between 177 and 318 cubic feet, the DROP 6 is the correctly matched DROP model on a standard 30A circuit. Rooms approaching 318 cu ft with cold surfaces - tile, glass, or masonry - should have their adjusted cubic footage calculated to confirm whether the DROP 6 or the DROP 7.5 (40A / 8 AWG) is the appropriate choice. The next step up in the DROP series - the DROP 7.5 (248-389 cu ft, 40A / 8 AWG) - requires a heavier circuit; for the 30A range the DROP 6 is the larger DROP available. Stone placement matters - watch the Stone Placement Video Correct stone placement in the DROP basket is important for element longevity and steam quality. The DROP's rounded basket geometry requires stones to be loaded in a specific pattern that ensures adequate airflow around the heating elements and even thermal contact. The Stone Placement Video in the documents section below provides step-by-step guidance. Use only 2"-4" (5-10 cm) rounded olivine stones as specified in the Stone Requirements document - these are the same stones used across all DROP, HIVE, and STEEL series heaters. Do not use CLIFF-specification 1"-2" stones in any DROP model. 6kW wall-mounted sauna heater for rooms from 177 to 318 cubic feet. Iconic water-droplet form. Why the HUUM DROP 6 stands out 6kW DROP on a 30A circuit - widest residential range The DROP 6 covers rooms from 177 to 318 cubic feet on the same 30A / 10 AWG circuit as the DROP 4.5 - making it the highest-output DROP available on the lightest DROP circuit. For standard-framed home sauna rooms in this range where 30A is the available circuit capacity, the DROP 6 is the correct choice: more output than the DROP 4.5 without stepping up to the heavier 40A requirement of the DROP 7.5. Iconic water-droplet form for mid-size rooms The DROP 6 delivers the full DROP water-droplet aesthetic - smooth rounded curves, pointed base, stainless steel finish - for rooms from 177 to 318 cubic feet. Where the DROP 4.5 serves the smallest personal sauna rooms, the DROP 6 serves two-person home saunas, larger cabin saunas, and purpose-built residential sauna rooms in the most common residential size range. 122 lbs of stone - same as DROP 4.5 The DROP 6 carries the same 122-lb stone capacity as the DROP 4.5. At 6kW driving 122 lbs of stone mass, the thermal reserve-to-output ratio is well matched for the 177-318 cu ft range: the stone mass holds heat effectively through normal home sauna session lengths and produces consistent, soft steam when water is ladled throughout the session. Stone Placement Video - critical for element life The Stone Placement Video in the documents below provides step-by-step guidance for loading 122 lbs of stones into the DROP basket correctly. Correct placement ensures adequate airflow around the elements and even stone-to-element thermal contact. HUUM includes this video specifically because incorrect stone loading is the leading cause of preventable element failure in DROP heaters - watching before loading is strongly recommended. No Extension Box - straightforward installation At 6kW, the DROP 6 connects directly to the UKU control without a UKU Extension Box. The installation is: heater wired to the 30A circuit, UKU control mounted on the wall, data cable connecting control to heater. No additional Extension Box hardware to source, mount, or wire. The simplest DROP installation path within the most common home sauna room size range. DROP 6STU Package - complete bundled option The DROP 6STU Package at BathingBrands bundles the DROP 6 heater, UKU control (Local Black or WiFi at checkout), and stones in a single purchase and includes the UKU IOM, Diagram, and Video alongside the DROP documents. This standalone listing is for buyers replacing just the heater in an existing DROP installation or purchasing components separately. For most new DROP installations, the Package is the more convenient path. About HUUM Made in Estonia - SGS Listed HUUM DROP 6. 6kW. 177-318 cu ft. Water-droplet form. 122 lbs of stone. 30A circuit.
