Husqvarna Chainsaw File Handle 596284601 | 25/30 Angle Guide | New

Husqvarna Chainsaw File Handle with Angle Guide | Part # 596284601 | NewHusqvarna's file handle with a patented file locking system and moulded angle guide marks. It takes both round and flat chainsaw files, locks them so the file cannot spin or slip out mid stroke, and shows 25 and 30 degree reference marks so you can hold the correct filing angle across the chain. A handle is not an optional accessory when hand filing, it is what gives you the control to file the same angle every time. ⚠ HANDLE ONLY - FILES NOT INCLUDED This listing is for the file handle by itself. Round files, flat files and file gauges are sold separately. Check that your file size falls within the range this handle accepts before ordering.Specifications Part #: 596284601 Also Known As: 596 28 46-01 Brand: Husqvarna Product: Chainsaw file handle Husqvarna Size Designation: Ø 4.0 - 5.5 mm Round File Range: 4.0 to 4.5 mm as listed by Husqvarna Flat File Sizes: 6 in and 8 in Angle Guide Marks: 25 degrees and 30 degrees Locking: Patented file locking system Material: Plastic UPC: 193028001064 Condition: New Key Features Patented file locking system The file clamps into the handle rather than being pressed onto a tang, so it will not rotate or work loose part way through a chain. A file that rotates changes your cutting face every stroke. 25 and 30 degree angle guides Moulded reference marks let you line the handle up against the bar and hold the top plate filing angle your chain calls for, which is the difference between a chain that pulls straight and one that wanders. Takes round and flat files One handle covers both the round file that sharpens the cutters and the flat file that dresses the depth gauges, in 6 in and 8 in flat sizes. Proper grip A moulded handle gives a repeatable hand position and keeps your knuckles off the cutters, which matters when you are filing a chain in the field. CompatibilityFits chainsaw files within the sizes listed above, on any brand of file that falls in that range. It is not matched to a particular saw model, since filing equipment is selected by file size and chain pitch rather than by machine. Check the diameter marked on your round files, or the length of your flat file, and confirm against your Husqvarna parts list before ordering. Why Buy OEM?The locking system and the angle marks are the entire value of this part, and both depend on the handle being made to Husqvarna's dimensions. A loose generic handle lets the file turn under load, which is how you end up with inconsistent cutter angles and a chain that cuts crooked no matter how carefully you filed it.
