Built on the proven Mauser-derived action, the Model 700 was adopted by the US Marine Corps as the basis for the M40 sniper rifle in 1966, and later adapted by the US Army for the M24 Sniper Weapon System. Law enforcement agencies across the United States and internationally adopted Remington 700 variants as their primary precision rifle platform. Commercially, the Remington 700 has been produced in over 30 chamberings and is one of the best-selling hunting and target rifles of all time, with millions of examples in circulation worldwide. 3D printed products may require minor post-processing. Support remnants, layer lines, or slight surface variations are normal and can be cleaned up with a hobby knife, needle files, or light sanding. Final appearance may vary slightly depending on printer settings and material used.
