Hummingbird Golden Bloom

Watercolor Hummingbird with Gold Leaf AccentsA hummingbird hovers at the mouth of a trumpet flower, drawn in fine black ink over a wash of magenta, violet, and sky blue. The watercolor bleeds and blooms behind the line work, so the bird seems to float inside the color rather than sit on top of it. Gold leaf catches on the wing tips and petals, a small flash of light that shifts as you move past the piece. It sits naturally beside our Animals collection, shares its loose ink energy with Doodle Art, and holds its own among the bolder pieces in Contemporary Art. --- Ink, Watercolor, and GoldOne hummingbird, one bloom, and a storm of pink and violet behind them. The gold leaf does the rest. It's quick, loose, and alive, the way good line work should be.
