HSD-4 Channel High Side Driver

Need to power multiple solenoids with high-speed switching but without the cost of multiple solid-state relays? The HSD-4 High Side Driver module is designed to control up to four medium-current 12V devices using solid-state switching, perfect for solenoids that require rapid operation. Features: Four High-Side Drivers: Ideal for solenoids that need 12V power instead of ground Compatible with MS3Pro, MicroSquirt, or MegaSquirt: Ground-triggered outputs can easily connect to the HSD-4’s inputs Handles up to 8 amps per channel: Reliable performance for medium current solenoids Epoxy potted: Maximum vibration and water resistance, suitable for underhood use Applications Include: Toyota A340/A341 transmissions Subaru W4A33 transaxles BMW Double VANOS variable valve timing solenoids Other solenoid setups needing rapid switching and 12V power The HSD-4 module is perfect for situations where the solenoid ground is tied to the body, and only a single 12V wire powers the solenoid. Designed for fast, precise control in demanding environments. Specifications: Operating Voltage: 12V DC Maximum Current: 8 Amps per channel Number of Channels: 4 High-Side Drivers Trigger Type: Ground-triggered Switching Frequency: Suitable for rapid switching solenoids Dimensions: 4.91″ (L) x 1.61″ (H) x 1.97″ (W) HSD-4 Wiring Function Connects to HSD-4  wire Wire Color Input 1 ECU or TCU Yellow Output 1 Solenoid Yellow Input 2 ECU or TCU Yellow/Orange Output 2 Solenoid Orange Input 3 ECU or TCU Yellow/Green Output 3 Solenoid Green Input 4 ECU or TCU Yellow/Pink Output 4 Solenoid Pink Power Switched 12V Red The red wires should all be grouped together and connected to a single fuse to 12V Switched Power. The fuse should be rated for the total current draw of all outputs being used, up to a maximum of 30 amps. ECU Connections The inputs need a ground signal to trigger their outputs. Here are what outputs you can use to trigger the HSD-4 high side driver with DIYAutoTune engine or transmission management. MS3Pro: High current, PWM, injector, or tach outputs MSPNP2 Gen 2: Output 1, output 2, boost, or tach outputs MicroSquirt (transmission control): Shift solenoid, TCC, or EPC outputs MicroSquirt (engine control): ALED, WLED, FIDLE, or tach outputs MS3X: Mid current, tach, or injector outputs MS1 or MS2: Relay control outputs or FIDLE (MS2 only) GPIO Board: General purpose, PWM, or high current outputs
