HPSP 377 Wick

Special High-Performance Flat Wicks (HPSP aka HSPS) are slow-burning and are excellent for coconut wax. They are often used in pillars, tapers, decorative, votives, and tealight candles because they minimize soot. HPSP wicks are constructed from long-strand, tight-braid and specially-treated cotton which inhibit carbon deposit and afterglow.  ~ Best wicks for coconut wax ~ Lead and zinc free ~ Natural cotton construction ~ Coated with clean-burning paraffin wax *Using the sizing chart below, choose a wick 2-3 sizes larger than the chart denotes when using coconut wax. Our manufacturer created the following guide for choosing a wick size based on jar diameter; however, the guide is based on paraffin wax.  It is best to size up 2-3 sizes for coconut wax. Wick Jar Diameter (in inches) HPSP 535 2.19" HPSP 531 2.36" HPSP 502 2.48" HPSP 493 2.76" HPSP 399 3.07" HPSP 377  3.09" HPSP 335 3.11" HPSP 331 3.13" HPSP 300 3.39"   There are many variables affecting the proper burn of your candle, so it is essential to wick test with every new candle launch.  Pigments can inhibit the flame.  Fragrance oils can increase or decrease the flame depending on the oil. Other wax ingredients can also increase or decrease the flame. We recommend a Wick Testing Pack to find the perfect fit.
