Hovhannes Zardarian

By Boris Zurabov The oeuvre of the distinguished artist Hovhannes Zardarian is stamped with remarkable painterly scope and vigor. This is clearly manifested in his optimistic vision of the world, his poetic interpretation of the life of Nature and the beauty of Armenia's scenery. The main thing is the artist's ability to reproduce the physical world in its polyphonic colors, down to the subtlest tonal gradations and to make the canvas glow with light. This is a beautiful book of Zadarian's works with commentary and biographical notes. Garlart Publishers (1993)
