You decide to go there and learn some of his greatest tricks and illusions. Walking around, your curiosity leads you to a secret room, one in which no one has set foot for over a century. As you enter the room, the door slams shut, leaving you locked inside while the walls start closing in slowly. On the table is Houdini’s testimony, which says: ‘You are the chosen one who managed to enter this secret room. Whoever finds a way to break out of it will have the privilege of becoming my heir.’ The key, which unlocks the door, is hidden somewhere in the room. However, in order to find it, you must solve some challenges first. Houdini left you a pencil, glue and scissors, along with six different cards, which will help you solve the challenges ahead. If you want to get out of this room, you need to get inside the mind of the greatest illusionist and start thinking like him. Can you escape and become the next Houdini? You have 60 minutes before the walls crush you, so you better hurry up—the clock is ticking! Yes, a color printer is recommended for the best experience. The puzzles rely on colors and visual elements that won’t work properly in black and white. If you don’t have a color printer at home, you can use a local print shop — just bring the PDF on a USB drive. How much prep work is involved? Setup takes about 25-30 minutes. You’ll need to print the game materials, cut out some pieces, and hide them around the room following our detailed setup guide. It’s straightforward and the guide walks you through every step with photos. Do I need a computer to play? No! Once you’ve downloaded and printed the game, you don’t need any screen or computer. Everything is played with the physical printed materials. The optional mobile app enhances the experience but isn’t required. Is there a virtual version of this game? No, this is a printable escape room designed to be played in person. The magic of this game comes from physically interacting with the materials — cutting, folding, and discovering hidden clues in your own space. How many players can play at once? The game works best with 2 to 5 players per team. If you have a larger group, simply print multiple copies and split them into teams. Each team can play in a different room for a fun competition! How many sheets do I need to print? The game requires approximately 20-25 pages of printing (depending on the extras you choose to include like posters and invitations). The core game materials are about 15 pages. Is the game replayable? Since it’s a printable game, you can print it as many times as you like — so yes, you can absolutely play it with different groups! However, once a player knows the solutions, the surprise element is gone for them. It’s perfect for running at multiple birthday parties or events. Where should I set up the game? Any room in your house will work! A living room, bedroom, or even a classroom are all great options. You just need a space where you can hide clues and materials for the kids to find. The setup guide gives you tips for different room types. What type of paper should I use? Standard A4 or US Letter paper works perfectly. We recommend using slightly thicker paper (120gsm) for the cards and puzzle pieces if you have it, as they’ll be more durable when kids handle them. Regular paper works fine too! You can play the game alongside the kids, provide hints when needed, and enjoy the whole experience together. Can I resell or redistribute this game? No, the game is licensed for personal use only.
