Waterslide Shadowland Hosta – Narrow Wavy Bright Gold Shade Perennial (Hosta 'Waterslide')

Hosta Shadowland® 'Waterslide' is a stunning, modern hosta known for its distinctive rippled foliage and cool-toned coloration. Part of the Proven Winners® Shadowland® series, this variety features wavy, elongated leaves in an icy blue color that holds well into summer. The ruffled leaf margins give it a dynamic, fluid appearance—much like its name suggests. Its compact, mounded form and excellent leaf substance make it ideal for front-of-the-border plantings or shaded containers. Key Features: Foliage: Narrow, heavily rippled blue leaves with a smooth texture and good substance. The unique wave-like form sets it apart from traditional hostas. Mature Size: Grows 14–16 inches tall and 26–32 inches wide, forming a dense and tidy mound. Flowers: Lavender flowers appear in mid to late summer on 20–24" scapes, attracting hummingbirds. Light Requirements: Best in part to full shade; some morning sun can enhance the blue tones but avoid harsh afternoon sun. Soil: Prefers moist, well-drained, organically rich soil. Hardiness: USDA zones 3–9. Maintenance: Low-maintenance. Slug-resistant thanks to its thick foliage. Divide every few years if needed to maintain vigor. Uses: Excellent choice for edging, shade borders, woodland gardens, and containers. Pairs well with ferns, heuchera, and other hostas for a rich textural contrast. Notable Series: Part of the Shadowland® Collection from Proven Winners®, known for outstanding foliage quality and form.
