Hosta Royal Standard

The 'Royal Standard' Hosta is a cultivar of the Hosta genus, prized for its vigor and fragrant blooms. Like many other hostas, it features glossy, medium to dark green, heart-shaped leaves and produces white, trumpet-shaped flowers in late summer. These blooms are notably sweet-smelling. It stands out in any garden as one of the few hostas with strongly scented flowers. 'Royal Standard' is also more tolerant of sun than most hostas, though it still thrives best in partial shade. It is commonly used as a ground cover, border plant, or feature in shade gardens. It also performs well in containers, provided it receives enough moisture and dappled sunlight.
