The wide, stay-open top is the feature that changes your whole morning routine. You drop decoys in fast, you pull them out fast, and you get on the water before legal light instead of fighting with gear that was never designed for how waterfowl hunters actually hunt.   The bag carries 2 to 3 dozen standard decoys comfortably, and Horn Hunter did not skimp on the carry system. Padded shoulder straps with load lift adjustments, a chest strap, and a waist belt mean you can make one trip across a muddy field or down a slippery boat ramp without feeling like you left your spine in the marsh. The coated mesh drainage panel on the bottom is a small detail that makes a serious difference. Wet decoys go in, and the water drains out. You are not hauling a bag full of ice water back to the truck at the end of the hunt.   Horn Hunter built their reputation on packs that perform in serious backcountry conditions, and that same design mentality carries over here. The quick release buckle closure is secure and easy to operate with cold, gloved hands. There are no drawstrings to tangle or snap, no loose cords to step on, and no extra steps slowing you down when every minute before sunrise counts. This bag is purpose-built for waterfowl hunters who are tired of gear that almost does the job.   Check Out The Full Lineup Of Horn Hunter Gear   Horn Hunter Hunting Gear   Why Hunters Love It   Waterfowl hunting already demands enough of you before the sun comes up. Cold temps, waders, a dog that thinks every decoy is a fetch toy, and legal light closing in fast. The last thing you need is a bag that turns a five minute setup into fifteen. The Horn Hunter Quick Load Decoy Bag removes a real pain point from the morning routine, and once you use it you will wonder how you put up with anything else. The wide open top loads and unloads at a pace that actually matches how fast you want to move in the field.   Hunters who cover ground to reach their spots will also appreciate how well this bag rides. The padded straps, load lifters, chest strap, and waist belt are not just there for show. Carrying 2 to 3 dozen decoys over any real distance adds up fast, and Horn Hunter engineered this bag to distribute that weight the same way they approach their backcountry packs. It is a waterfowl bag built with elk hunter DNA, and that is a combination that flat out works.   Frequently Asked Questions   How many decoys does the Horn Hunter Quick Load Decoy Bag hold? The bag is designed to hold 2 to 3 dozen standard size decoys. Capacity can vary slightly depending on the style and size of your decoys, but for most standard mallard or puddle duck decoys, you can comfortably load two to three dozen in a single carry.   Does the bag have a frame or is it a soft shell design? The Quick Load Decoy Bag is a soft shell bag built around a wide, stay-open top opening rather than a rigid frame. The structure of the top keeps it open during loading and unloading without requiring a hard frame, which keeps the overall weight down while still giving you easy access.   Why does this bag not use a drawstring closure? Horn Hunter intentionally designed this bag with a quick release buckle closure instead of a drawstring because drawstrings tangle, freeze up in cold weather, and slow you down when time matters. The buckle system is fast to operate with gloved or wet hands and keeps the bag securely closed during transport.   What is the coated mesh bottom panel for? The coated mesh bottom drainage panel allows water and mud to drain out of the bag rather than pooling at the bottom. Decoys pulled from the water or a marsh carry moisture with them, and without drainage you end up hauling significant extra weight. The coating helps protect the mesh from wear while still letting water pass through.   Is the carry system comfortable enough for long walks to the blind? Yes. Horn Hunter equipped this bag with padded shoulder straps, extra load lift straps, a chest strap, and a waist belt. That combination is the same approach used in serious backpacking and hunting pack design. For a full load of 2 to 3 dozen decoys across a field or along a riverbank, the system distributes weight well enough to make a meaningful difference in how you feel at the end of the walk.   Will this bag work with magnum or oversized decoys? The bag is sized for standard decoys. Magnum or oversized decoys may reduce the total number you can carry and could be tighter to fit through the opening depending on the decoy body size. If you run mostly magnum rigs, check your specific decoy dimensions against the bag opening before assuming a full two dozen will fit comfortably.
