Honey Orchid Dan Cong

Welcome to Dan Cong (pronounced dan-song)! This is high-quality handmade oolong, also known as Phoenix dan cong. Dan Cong is translated as "Single Strain," named centuries ago where it is said that each tea plant made for a uniquely flavored tea. The tea is light and slightly astringent (moreso with higher brew temps and longer infusions), with a hint of tropical fruit. We love everything about this tea from the dark, slender leaves to the complex aroma of the infusion and it’s golden yellow liquor, rendering a complex delicate woody and fruity taste. It’s a multifaceted tea where each infusion yields significantly different character! Spring 2023 crop.
