Quote from the artist: "The first part of created this platter was to reassemble the broken pieces with fast-acting epoxy mixed with bottled faux gold dust. Once that was completed, I cut very thin strips of wood, sanded, and glued to the back of the gap. Following this, I drilled and glued rivets and staples to help secure the wooden straps. I then filled the gap with epoxy putty and to have it resemble a copper metal patch, I painted with copper-infused paint and weathered the paint per directions using the solutions for is purpose. I coated the surface with thin epoxy for security, sanded and then coated with polyurethane." Dimensions: 5.25" x 19.5"
