HOME STUDY COURSE – ADVANCED DRY NEEDLING MECHANISMS AND CLINICAL INTEGRATION

Course Summary: Advanced Dry Needling, Inflammation, and Clinical Reasoning is a comprehensive 5.0 CE hour online home study course led by Mark Hernandez PT, designed for clinicians seeking a deeper understanding of dry needling within the context of inflammation science and complex patient care. Delivered through segmented video modules, the course integrates current neurobiology, immunology, and biomechanics to elevate clinical reasoning and treatment precision. Participants explore immune cell behavior (e.g., mast cells, microglia, cytokines), dry needling’s segmental and systemic effects, and its role in modulating both acute and chronic inflammatory responses. The course features real-world clinical applications including swelling protocols, tendon regeneration strategies, and fascial or nerve-related pain syndromes. Through case-based teaching—spanning conditions like CRPS, scoliosis, and cancer recovery—clinicians learn to apply integrative dry needling in complex presentations. The course closes with advanced insights into lymphatic function, extracellular matrix dynamics, and the long-term remodeling of connective tissue.
