Diffused Aeration by Kasco, Home Series

Diffuser systems (bottom aerators) are necessary for ponds with a greater average depth of seven feet or more. Surface fountains and aerators don't aerate enough in deep ponds, depriving fish and your pond's health of the benefits of aeration even at deep levels. The new Home Series diffused aeration systems are designed to aerate your deep pond properly for a reasonable price and with quality construction. As always, FREE SHIPPING. Features: 1/4 HP compressor Stainless Steel compressor cabinet which can be ground-mounted or post mounted Available in 120 or 240 volt 100-200 feet of weighted tubing 1 or 2 diffusers included for up to 2 acre ponds with less than 20 ft. of depth Lifetime Warranty on diffuser 15-year warranty on tubing 2-year warranty on cabinet, compressor, and all external parts Single loop diffuser system Note about diffuser systems: The depth of a pond determines how well a diffuser system will work.  The aeration system depends on the air bubbles rising from the bottom of the pond, and deeper ponds allow for more diffused aeration because there is more area for the bubbles to travel. Deeper ponds often require fewer diffusers than shallower ones. Try to install diffuser plates in deepest parts of pond rather than at shallower banks. Sizing Recommendations Because these work better in deeper ponds, you will need two diffusers instead of one in shallow ponds. Please see this table: Pond Size Pond Depth with 1 Diffuser Pond Depth with 2 Diffusers  * If using 1 diffuser for a pond 6-8 ft deep, you can aerate 1/4 acre. If using two diffusers at 6-8 ft deep, you can aerate 1/2 acre. 1/4 acre 6-8 ft min depth required 3-6 ft min. depth required *If your pond is 6-8 deep, 1 diffuser will aerate 1/4 acre.  1/2 acre 9-12 ft min depth required 6-8 ft min depth required *If your pond is 9-12 ft deep, 1 diffuser will aerate 1/2 acre. If it is shallower, you will need 2 diffusers. 1 acre 13-20 ft min depth required 9-12 ft min depth required *If your pond is 13-20 ft. deep, 1 diffuser will aerate 1 acre! If it is shallower, you will need 2 diffusers. More on Location of Diffusers: Islands, coves, or other obstacles to diffusion must be taken into account when choosing where to place and how many diffuser plates are needed. Also, long and narrow ponds will require more diffuser plates. With this single-loop system, how many diffuser plates should I order, one or two? If the pond is shallow, you need to order 2 diffusers instead of 1.  for example, if the pond is 1/2 acre, it needs to be a minimum of 9' deep for the single diffuser to work well. For that size, if the pond is under 9 feet in average depth, we recommend a 2 diffuser system. If the pond is 1 acre, for a singer diffuser to work well your pond needs to be an average depth of at least 13'.   We recommend you call us to best recommend the system your pond needs. We will look it up on Google Earth and try to help the best we can. If you want to mount vertically (to a post or other vertical structure) instead of on the ground, you will need to add part 774440 for $50.
