Tulsi (Ocimum sanctum / Ocimum tenuiflorum) Organically grown. Also known as Holy Basil. ✧ Herbal Energetics & Traditional Uses Tulsi is revered in Ayurvedic medicine as a rasayana—a herb that nourishes vitality, spiritual clarity, and longevity. Known as “The Incomparable One,” tulsi has traditionally been used to uplift the mood, balance energy, soothe the nervous system, and support the immune response. This Kapoor variety taste sweet, reminding me of a botanical bubble gum! Energetically, tulsi is warming, slightly drying, and adaptogenic. Tulsi meets the heart where it is, whether weary, guarded, or scattered, and gently invites a return to rhythm. Taken daily as tea or tincture, tulsi has long been honored for her capacity to restore joy, soften stress, and reconnect the soul with the sacred in everyday life. ✧ Magical & Energetic Properties Tulsi is a sacred threshold plant, grown at the entryways of homes and temples to protect, purify, and bless. It's presence clears the air, both literally and energetically. Tulsi holds the resonance of devotion, of beauty infused with purpose, and of the sacred in the ordinary. It allows us to see outside of the box, opening our "third eye". In magical practice, tulsi is associated with protection, spiritual attunement, and heart-opening rituals. It reminds us that healing doesn’t have to be hard, it can be aromatic, warm, and touched with grace. ✧ Planetary Correspondence Mercury Mercury brings her into the realm of breath, voice, and energetic adaptability—shining through the nervous system with calm, alert presence. ✧ Zodiacal Correspondence ✧ How to Use Steep daily as an uplifting tea, combine with rose and lemon balm for emotional balance, or use in ritual baths or smudges to clear emotional residue.
