Ultrasonic Diffraction using Goniometer The ultrasonic waves generated by the transducer travels through the medium (liquid) and get reflected at the side by side (flat glass plate) of the cell. The incident and reflected waves interfere and a stationary / standing wave pattern is formed. Piezo electric crystals are mounted using a kinematic holder at the center of Goniometer. This helps to direct the sodium light through the liquid and then to the detector/eyepiece conveniently by using the spectroscopic arm design. The diffraction pattern is changed by replacing the crystals like 3 MHz to 5MHz.The velocity of ultrasonic waves in liquids can be calculated from this experiment. Experiment: To find the velocity of ultrasonic wave in liquids To find the bulk modulus of the given liquid To find the compressibility of the liquid Specifications: Precised Design Sodium lamp is used as light source 3 MHz & 5 MHz crystals High Quality Optics Video: Click HERE for Video Scope of Delivery: Spectrometer Goniometer Piezo electric crystals Glass tank RF Oscillator unit Sodium lamp with power supply Crystal holder unit with kinematic x-y tilts
