Hmong & Hemp Throw Pillow Cover

Ships directly from Lumily in California. Make a bold and meaningful statement in your home with our Hmong & Hemp Throw Pillows—extraordinary, one-of-a-kind pieces that blend traditional Hmong artistry from Vietnam with ethically sourced hemp from the Hemp Foundation in India. Each decorative pillow showcases a vintage, hand-embroidered, appliqued, and indigo-dyed batik panel that once formed part of a traditional Hmong baby carrier—a cultural textile rich in history, symbolism, and soul. Lovingly handcrafted, these intricate baby carrier panels are often gifted by mothers to their daughters at weddings to symbolize the importance of family, fertility, and protection. These carriers cradle babies during daily routines while shielding them from both physical harm and spiritual danger through sacred symbols and motifs. Now reimagined with care and respect, our Afghan artisan partners have transformed these textile treasures into heirloom-quality accent pillows—backed with natural hemp fabric from the Hemp Foundation. The result? A globally inspired, ethically made statement pillow that honors motherhood, resilience, and craftsmanship. Perfect for boho interiors, global-inspired decor, or as a standout sofa or bed throw pillow, these artisan pieces bring warmth, heritage, and texture to your space.
